Don
Grantham Funeral home was founded and established by Beeson
and Lena Grantham in 1925. Their son Don assumed operation
of the business in 1945 following his return from WWII.
Don has since retired and turned the care of services
over to the capable hands of his sons Jim and Mike Grantham.
Other vital associates in the business include Kyndall
Hale, Wade Williams, and Kathy Rogers whose hard work
and dedication has contributed greatly to the success
of the business over the years.
Since
the founding of Grantham Funeral Home in 1925, Don constructed
the new facility in 1968, which is currently located
at 1502 N. Highway 81 in Duncan, Oklahoma. This facility
was beautifully remodeled in 1998. The funeral home
also operates a branch facility in Velma Oklahoma for
visitation.
What makes Don Grantham
Funeral Home a truly unique funeral service business?
First of all, Don Grantham Funeral Home is the oldest
owned and operated business in Duncan, with 80 years
of service. This gives the business a long history with
deep roots in the community, that has earned the trust
that only time can bring. Next, Don Grantham’s
motto has always been and continues to be, “Service,
Our Best Always.” Webster’s dictionary defines
a servant as “one who is ardently devoted to another,
a cause or a creed,”To offer help and aid or give
reverence to.” This attitude of service will be
utilized every time a family walks through our doors,
as it has been for 80 years. Third, we have an excellent
inventory of the finest merchandise to meet the needs
and desires of our families.
In
an age when large corporations take over family owned
businesses, we are proud to be in the third generation
of not only being family owned, but family operated.
Since 1925, Grantham has been nothing other than “Grantham.”
Only one name on our sign for 80 years! One family,
one purpose: to give to those we serve “Our Best,
Always.”
